Greetings from SEATS at the Gathering of Faith and Learning ICHE 2026 Online Conference

SEATS Dean, Dr. Michael J. Fast, had the privilege of bringing greetings from the SEATS community at the recent ICHE Gathering of Faith and Learning, held online this past 10 June 2026. You may recall SEATS had originally planned to host this as a face-to-face gathering that was later cancelled due to the global oil crisis.

The South East Asian Theological Schools (SEATS) shares highlights from the recent International Christian Higher Education (ICHE) virtual gathering held on June 10, where nearly 100 participants joined online from around the world.

While in-person meetings were preferred, participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to connect virtually and were reminded of their shared unity in Christ, common mission, and commitment to advancing higher education shaped by a Christian worldview.

SEATS faculty and students will once again be represented at the International Council for Higher Education (ICHE) conference, hosted this year by UniEvangelica in Anápolis, Brazil.

Representing the SEATS faculty will be our Chairman and President, Bishop Cesar Punzalan III, and our Academic Vice President & Dean, Michael J. Fast.

We are also pleased to share that several of our students will be attending the conference to fulfill the requirements for one of their courses. Their participation includes attending sessions and completing a series of reflective papers.

This cohort represents the fantastic work happening across all four of our SEATS programs—the Graduate Diploma and Master of Ministry in both Pastoral Leadership and Missional Ecclesiology.

Here is the SEATS 2024 Schedule for interested GradDip, MMin, & DMin in Missional Ecclesiology students.

June 29, Dr. Michael J. Fast's Missional Ecclesiology: Frameworks for Functional Churehes in Society will be held in person in New Westminster, BC, Canada.

July 20, Dr. Michael J. Fast's Missional Ecclesiology: Frameworks for Functional Churches in Society will be
held in person in Winnipeg, MB, Canada.

August 1st & 3rd weeks, Dr. Cesar Punzalan's Theology of Priesthood will be held via Zoom.
